Around Dunster Village

National Trust – Dunster Castle

The castle overlooks the village from a high point, and is open most days of the year. It offers plenty of activities and events for the family throughout the year.  Tickets can be purchased from the either entrances.  It also boasts some fantastic gardens and grounds too!

The Castle has a working water mill within the grounds and there are various tours of the Castle to be enjoyed.  In addition to this the Castle regularly hosts events and shows (many televised).

Dunster Beach

The Beach is about 25 minute walk away from the cottage, across the A39. This is a private Beach, but you can pay for parking and visit the area.  It’s less commercialised as other beaches, with a small nature reserve at on end of the site.
